This is a photo exhibition about ordinary life in Africa in colour. The aim is to show another view of Africa with pictures of ordinary people and life moving away from the dramatic extremes images of famine, poverty or war and the idealized black and white pictures of tribes or beautiful wild life. This is a positive exhibition about the ordinary people and their every day life.
The exhibition will take place at the prestigious Royal Geographic Society in London this Autumn and in 2013 in Wellington, New Zealand. we need support with the logistics in order to bring the exhibition to London, printing and other logistics.
Sponsorship in the UK: The first part of the exhibition will be shown at the famous Royal Geographical Society in London, South Kensington, the historical house of British exploration, travel and adventure. So many of the great explorers of the 20th Century such as Livingstone, Scott, Shackelton or Edmund Hillary were members of the RGS or collaborated with it. This exhibition is about discovering and traveling to places and documenting life in those parts of the world which fits so well with the RGS.
